Facts:
I discuss here the subtle differences in the meanings of our words and wording. Most often I remind myself of the differences in the words “truth” and “fact”. It is my belief that “truths’ mean different things to different people. Usually to be a “truth,” a leap of faith is needed. There is an untested component within “truth. “Facts” are simpler, and true to all people and things regardless of whatever variable we bring to the equation. Once we add our own rules or speculation to a “fact” we have turned it into a truth.
****Example: I am holding a ball in the air and I let go of the ball. (There is no trick question here so don't try to add more to it.)
Fact: It begins to fall.
Truth: Gravity causes it to fall.
I feel at this time someone somewhere is telling me that gravity is fact. In your mind it might very well be, but we are defining fact here by the terms given above. I am very interested in hearing a description of gravity that has no speculation in it. Also, (This is the most important part here) these are MY definitions not yours. This is my area to come to understand my own “truths”, and my own life. In this area I will be making a list of “facts” as I discover them. I have no idea how often I will be updating it. I could fill it up with easily defendable facts such as “it begins to fall”, but I think I will get more self understanding if I don't start that way. I will attempt to link or otherwise point out where I found my evidence or what line of thinking leads me to decide that it is fact. Also, I think I should date them in order to help me understand some timeline.
